“What’s your name?”
Being asked by a gorgeous blue-eyed guy, though simple was the question, it caused a totally different effect.
I could hardly answer it, for the brilliant blue eyes looking straight at me felt like magic.
After a second or two, I was finally able to say my own name. I spelled it carefully for the gorgeous blue-eyed guy since my name comes from the Sanskrit language (it means Peace :p), and it mustn’t be familiar for a Caucasian like him.
He then wrote, “Dear … (name), nice work!” He added his signature, observed the paper once more, then handed it to me. We shook hands, and off I went.
I was lucky to spend at least a minute with Joe McIntyre, the gorgeous blue-eyed guy. Other girls only got a few seconds each. The memorable minute didn’t come easily, though. Sacrifices had to be made the day before. I spent hours to draw a portrait of Joe using 2B and 4B pencils. I finished the portrait around 3 a.m. and went to bed immediately. It had been years since the last time I drew portraits, that’s why it took so long just to finish one :p
The following morning, around 9 a.m. I was ready to queue at Tarra Megastore (no longer exist), Taman Anggrek Mall :p
Joe arrived at 3 p.m. Around 300 fans were allowed to get Joe’s signature, one for each person.
I handed the portrait for Joe to sign. He took the portrait, observing it closely. Smile was on his face. He showed the portrait to his bodyguards for a while. It took around one minute, gave me enough time to look closely at the pop singer from New Kids On The Block I have adored since 1990! Seemed satisfied, Joe asked me my name, signed the portrait, we shook hands, and off I went…
Joe only needed one minute to observe the portrait that would soon slip out of his mind, but on the other hand I was granted with one memorable minute I would never ever forget!!!
